Useless Loop

Useless Loop is a remote salt harvesting town on the western shore of Shark Bay in Western Australia — and from the air, its vast solar salt evaporation ponds are a revelation. As the water slowly evaporates, the increasing salinity produces extraordinary shifts in colour, from pale aqua and crystal blue through to deep indigo and brilliant white — creating abstract patterns of almost painterly beauty.

This collection of aerial photography prints captures Useless Loop's salt ponds from directly above, transforming one of Australia's most remote industrial sites into striking fine art. Titles like Aquarelle, Crystal Palette, and Crystalline give a sense of just how vivid and otherworldly these images are.

Limited edition fine art prints, printed in Australia on premium archival paper, available in horizontal and vertical orientations. A truly unique and little-known corner of Western Australia — beautifully captured from above.
